Fantastic BBQ. The moist was not to fatty but moist. The beef rib was amazing but large. Didn't care much for the sauces but don't need them. Meat tasty without it. Sides very good. Cole slaw and cream corn(condensed milk and corn essentially). Won't be disappointed though pricy.

This is probably the most tender brisket I have ever ate. I wish it had a little more smoke but I appreciate the fact that it tasted like unaltered brisket. The jalapeño cheese sausage was great and so was the slaw. Next time I will try the large beef rib.

Excellent on Monday! Brisket and ribs... Beans and slaw good, too

Awesome brisket, turkey, ribs and jalapeño cheese sausage. Great job - the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and tasty. The ribs had a great maple flavor much like Lamberts. I am not a huge turkey fan but my wife claims that the turkey is some of the best she has ever had. The j-c sausage was very spicy - I loved it. The staff was really friendly and I wish that I had time for a pit tour. The only negatives were the sides - nothing unique but the beans were good. The building is very large and it feels as if it was a Rudy's in a previous life. Overall, Terry Blacks in my top 15. A worthy stop

Stopped by this past Monday around 11am. I ordered the beef rib, brisket, and pork rib. The pork rib was fall off the bone tender with nice pepper and a slight hint of sweetness, I really enjoyed it. The brisket was outrageous as was the beef rib. I really enjoyed my meal, was a great place to sit and eat

First time here. The lean brisket was outstanding! It was incredibly moist and tender. Great flavor without the sauce. Sauce was delicious, too. Turkey and sausage was very good as well. Beans and potato salad were not great. Creamed corn, Mac and cheese, cole slaw and corn bread were very good. And the peach cobbler, too. I'll be back.

It was big news when the Austin American Statesman announced fourteen months ago that Black’s Barbecue was opening an Austin branch. It looked like the Black barbecue family from Lockhart was expanding. Running the place would be twins Michael and Mark Black, nephews of Kent Black who manages the legendary Lockhart location. Everyone seemed excited about this new branch in the barbecue family tree, then things got ugly. A few weeks after the big announcement, Kent…
