I stop in here on way back from NE TX to Austin. Great brisket. Just right amount of smoke and tenderness. You will almost always see Kirby in back slicing brisket. You know you are in a place that wants you to taste most flavorful cut when they charge more for lean cut than moist.

Their beef sausage is fantastic. Brisket is not too bad either.

I really like the flavor and moistness of the brisket here. Sauce is also great.

For some reason the location on the hill does not quite match the food quality on the 2222 lake location.

Arrived hungry, left with a hand cart (actually 2 lbs. of brisket & 2 lbs of pulled pork...maybe to share with my friends back home. "This is what real barbecue is!') While I was picking up my order I woofed down the pulled pork sandwich. Each bite was moist & smoked to perfection. I also had the smoked collard greens...I wish they sold these in the grocery store. The greens were done just right. Not over cooked to soggy mush, but with a slight crunch with a little pulled pork to boot. I'll be sure to visit when I'm back. I love this place.

I saw a flight of “flavor infused” pickles on the menu, and I was immediately powerless. I had to order them. I was dining alone during lunch at this sports bar/live music venue/barbecue joint hybrid in a suburb north of Fort Worth. Olympics curling was on the television in my booth, but even the technicolor uniforms of the various countries couldn’t compete with the brightly dyed stacks of pickle chips. The mango con chile flavor…
