Brisket was good moist and smokey Chicken was dry and sausage taste like store bought Great coleslaw and potatoe salad but don't think it's on the top 50

Cool little place, quintessential small town joint. Ribs - tremendous flavor of smoke with a touch of sweetness. Terrifically done as they were tender but clung nicely to the bone. Brisket - outstanding. Great smoke with just enough salt for flavor. Nothing overpowering, just tender, smokey goodness throughout. I now see why this gets dubbed best in easy Texas. Nothing keeping it from being an A in my book!

The brisket was good as was the sauce, the sausage was not my favorite. Will eat there again.

Melissa Perkins grew up in Colbert, Oklahoma just across the Red River from Texas around the same time that the legendary PO Sam had his barbecue joint along Franklin Street in Colbert. A friend of hers worked at the barbecue joint, so when she took her friend to PO Sam’s after school she’d get a barbecue sandwich as payment for the ride.
