Very, very average BBQ. Almost no smoke flavor, the meat came out lukewarm (portions were massive on the 4 meat plate), and the highlight of the experience was the sweet tea and green beans. The brisket had almost no flavor, the ribs were very average, the chicken was decent, and the pork shoulder was just "eh." Overall? Good atmosphere, welcoming staff, and reasonably priced average food.

Stopped in today for lunch. Had the ribs and pulled pork....both phenomenal! Ribs were tender, smoky, flavorful, you really didn't even need sauce. Pulled pork was moist and delicious. Love the fact that this joint is 15 mins away going back for breakfast tomorrow!

Brisket had a great smoke ring but was not that tender. Sausage was average.

Brisket, ribs, and brisket sandwich were all delicious. You gotta try the cheesecake also. It all gets better each time we come by.

Such good BBQ! If you drive through Belton, stop by. It is a must stop driving down I-35.

If it’s been a long day of poor-quality smoked meat, then I start ordering dessert. If the meat is bad, then the sweet stuff is usually pretty good. I watched the knife man cut the brisket and it looked tough and springy, so I added a slice of chocolate cake to the order. Beans were unseasoned and the slaw was a wet mess. A hot link was little more than a spicy hot dog. Brisket…

The mesquite-smoked brisket was well seasoned and tender, and the sliced German sausage was slightly sweet and spicy. But the real winners at this rustic locale, decorated with vintage posters for old cowboy flicks, were the sides. Green beans sprinkled with garlic, onion, and bacon and not-too-chunky potato salad with thinly sliced carrots were a perfect reward for a long day of driving. Opt for a square of cornbread instead of a slice of white…
