Told myself I would stop here on my next trip thru and forego their famous neighbor. So glad I did! Super friendly folks, clean restaurant and tasty 'cue! Brisket was moist with a nice crust and sausage was amazing!! While the beef lacked any kind of strong rub, I thought this was a welcomed change that allows you to taste the meat and perfect smoke...great cooking can make up for fancy rubs any day!

Quick service and good, moist brisket! Sausage is pretty tasty, and the turkey is peppery and delicious!

Moist brisket was excellent as were spareribs. Excellent and friendly service. Is becoming my favorite Luling stop. Two great experiences.

I've driven past this place for years t dine at the more famous stops in the area. I decided what the heck. Now I'm ashamed I've waited so long. The moist brisket, pork spare ribs, regular sausage, jalapeño sausage and chicken were all excellent. Beautiful smoke you would expect. I never waste space on side dishes, but they looked great. The friendly service was excellent and efficient. Sorry City Market, but I have a new Luling favorite.

Stopped by the third time. Consistently great ribs. I will be back next chance I have.

Got the family pack #1 plus a pound of ribs with beans and this was an impressive spread. I like a little more smoke flavor but the meats were all well cooked and tasty.

Not good at all, beef was dry, just terrible. Would not stop again.

There is ample competition just on the other side of the square from the famous City Market in Luling, but this joint holds its own. Ordering is done at the counter, and prices here are very reasonable. I ordered a two-meat plate with brisket and ribs. The sliced beef had average tenderness and average flavor from the non-existent rub. The smoke was decent, but not as robust as its neighbor. Each slice was perfectly moist…

Locals were in cheerful abundance: law enforcement, men in blue jumpsuits, kids lingering by the cooler of sweet tea. One taste of the juicy mesquite-and-post-oak-smoked brisket and ribs and we understood why. The potato salad and coleslaw each set the gold standard, and the red sauce was so rich and smoky that one diner committed his entire ration of white bread to it.
