I have been coming here since I was a child and by far this is my favorite Sausage. That is all I usually get sausage bread and sauce. You can just dip bread in the sauce and eat it like that. My mother always told me about the lamb ribs and I finally tried them. A little fatty but very tender and good. One tip, squeeze the grease out of the sausage if you don't get the dry ones.

I had brisket and ribs with liberal amounts of onion and pickle. As always solid and a must stop when in Gonzales.

Brisket was pretty bad. Weird flavor and was dry. Poorly cut also. Ribs were ok. Plain with a slight smoke. Sausage was good.

Brisket was dry and tasteless. Sausage was fantastic. Interesting BBQ sauce made with ketchup and sweet pickle juice.

Excellent sausage. Brisket was a little dry and could have used more smoke. Ribs were a complete let down. Almost lacking any rub at all. Sides were borderline in edible. Happy to finally visit but overall underwhelmed.

The Food Market on the historic square of Gonzales is part BBQ joint and part convenience store.
