Brisket was good moist and smokey Chicken was dry and sausage taste like store bought Great coleslaw and potatoe salad but don't think it's on the top 50

Cool little place, quintessential small town joint. Ribs - tremendous flavor of smoke with a touch of sweetness. Terrifically done as they were tender but clung nicely to the bone. Brisket - outstanding. Great smoke with just enough salt for flavor. Nothing overpowering, just tender, smokey goodness throughout. I now see why this gets dubbed best in easy Texas. Nothing keeping it from being an A in my book!

Over a year ago a friend of mine, Steve Dean, sent me a photo of this joint. The ramshackle look of the building had an outdated “Bush/Cheney 2004″ sign in the front window and a sign on the door read “SHUT”. Steve and I both assumed it was closed for good.
