Not the worst I've eaten, but far from the best. Brisket doesn't even resemble brisket. Had a weird smoke flavor to it. Ribs and sausage were just ok. The taters salad looked promising, but tastes like store bought. Sadly, the hit of the show were the home fries.

When you pull up to Bubba's BBQ it has the look of a great BBQ joint. Right when you walk in there is a freezer of their uncooked steaks. I chose to go through the cafeteria line and chose a sampling of brisket, sausage, and ribs with cheesy broccoli and potatoes on the side. Their BBQ sauce is served hot in a self serve, community, kettle. Everything has the look of a great BBQ joint, unfortunately the food feel short. I started with the brisket (for which I requested the burnt end be also added). They had decent smokey flavor but was so dry it was almost inedible. They had to be smothered in in sauce to eat (of which I only eat one). The ribs were almost as dry and were actually served a little cold. The high point was the spicy sausage with had good flavor and nice spice. Overall a big disappointment.

The worst BBQ chicken that I have ever eaten. Don't waste your time or money stopping here.

Pretty good brisket with nice smoke ring and great moisture, however the smoke overpowered all the other flavors.

Had the turkey chopped sandwich. Lots of meat, moist, and good flavor.

To me their best item is their Steakes.

This joint is all about meat. There is a large cooling case at the entrance where you can choose your own raw steak to be grilled per your specifications. Whether you want steak or bbq, everyone waits in the same line . . . unless you choose to sit and order from the menu. I know, it’s confusing. While admiring the large model planes hanging from the ceiling, we waited in the line and got…

Twenty minutes after opening, the wood-paneled dining room was already filling up with patrons. The hickory-smoked ribs were so good we ate everything that wasn’t bone . . . and kept the bones for marrow-sucking. Sides vary daily, but don’t miss the crisp coleslaw mixed with just enough mayonnaise and a hint of sugar. Forgo the too-sweet sauce.
