I drive by this place everyday for work in the mornings and afternoon. I think I've seen smoke bellowing from a smoke stack a handful of times in the 8 years I've been driving by. For this reason I've never stopped.

Brisket had zero flavor. They need to season the meat.

I thought this was ok, but mostly because it was close to Rockwall and open on Sunday. Chopped brisket was a little too fatty.

Didn't like the sausage or the mushy & flavorless brisket.

I eat here 2-3 per week cause its close. It has really gone downhill in the last month. Mr owner please fix it. Especially in evenings.

This visit they are out of beef and won't do a 2 mt sand cause they can't charge extra for ribs on it. Just assumed I wouldn't pay extra.

What's happened here? The friendly guy at the cutters table is gone now it seems. Last visit they trimmed the beef to no ring bark or flavor

I was in the neighborhood, which doesn’t happen often when speaking of Lavon, Texas, and I was hoping for the best since my visit to the much heralded Big Daddy’s just two years ago left much to be desired. Both fatty and lean brisket are listed on the menu, so I felt confident that an order of the fatty stuff would bring me some BBQ joy on this day. Samples of their weak commercial sausage…

Big Daddy’s prides itself on being biker-friendly, but it’s really just friendly. The first time we visited (anonymously, of course) the server insisted on putting extra meat on our plates so that our party could try a bit of everything. We came away with a profound respect for the moist, tender brisket and fell in love with the hot links. Neither required a dab of the sweet-and-spicy sauce, but we would have been foolish to…
