You Ate, We Drove.

Our day-long pilgrimage to three of the best barbecue joints in Dallas began with a drive to Stanley’s Famous Pit Bar-B-Q in Tyler. Then it was on to a midday repast at The Slow Bone Barbeque in Dallas, followed up with a feast at Lockhart Smokehouse in Dallas. Texas Monthly barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn and the pitmasters shared stories and secrets of the trade, while guests kept cool by enjoying Lone Star Beer.
