A DEEP DIVE INTO THE WORLD OF Q
Four inaugural Behind The Pit Dinners were held in July at Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor, Pecan Lodge in Dallas, Franklin Barbecue in Austin and Snow’s BBQ in Lexington. Fans enjoyed delicious ‘cue and beverages from Shiner Beers and Deep Eddy Vodka. Texas Monthly barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn was on hand to host up-close tours of the pits and Q&A’s with pitmasters Wayne Mueller, Justin Fourton, Aaron Franklin, Tootsie Tomanetz, and Kerry Bexley.
