Had a sausage sandwich and a bolo sandwich both decent
Two sliced and a coke eight of ten
Just OK... Smoked turkey breast. I do like the spicy BBQ sauce :)
Had this last Fri and can only write about it now. Underwhelming across board. Brisket dry and stringy. Pork was decent burnout special. Sausage fairly pedestrian. No pork ribs.
A Texas classic. Might not be the best BBQ in the state - or in Austin for that matter - but a great spot with an awesome history. Love the mustard based sauce and the cole slaw!
5 stars anyway
Finally got to Franklin yesterday. After 3 hours (fun experience) on line we were in. The 12:30 time they gave us on line was on the money. So now, finally, the brisket. Great texture, fat rendered perfectly, beef taste prominent- that's what I liked. A little salty and lacked outside pepper ring I had been spoiled with at Louis Mueller. Overall great brisket, great experience, #1 not so sure about.
